Sr. R&D Manager

What will you do:
CyberArk is looking for a manager of exceptionally talented, multi-disciplinary, cross-functional
development teams in an Agile-oriented environment. As a Group Manager, you should demonstrate
high professional and interpersonal skills (communication, composure, and patience), and always
strive for excellence. Using comprehensive business and technical knowledge, the Group Manager
leads the entire development process starting from the planning phase, through the development and
testing process to successful release to our customers. The Group Manger works closely with Product
Managers, Program Managers, Professional Services, HR, and other Group Managers in R&D. They
should have a strong command on communication, as they work with the global teams.
Responsibilities:
- Producing valuable content for our customers
- Defining aggressive improvement goals for the group and the product, while leading the group
- to achieving these goals
- Maintaining our culture
- Solving problems in every aspect (personal, professional, technical, procedural, etc.)
- Professional growth of the group members
- Coaching team leaders and other professional roles
- Recruiting new group members
- Comprehensive knowledge of our products and how customers use it
- Working hand-in-hand with product managers and the teams to execute features from the
- requirements to acceptance in the field
- You will work closely with Engineering, Product Managers, Program Managers, Professional
- Services, HR, and other Managers in R&D.
- Managing multiple squads and teams located globally in a fast-paced, Agile environment to
- support our rapidly evolving business.
- Take a crucial role in architectural and strategic decisions
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Programming or Engineering-related field or Elite unit alumni
- At least 10+ years’ strong experience in the software development process.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a leader and manager of the development teams and
- managing multiple development teams.
- Strong leadership and ownership.
- Must have experience in Cloud Security.
- Must have experience in Building Projects for Cloud Deployments.
- Must have experience in managing large teams.
- Must have experience in managing the software development, creating new products.
- Develop concepts, products, and solutions by working with company business units.
- Must have experience in Cloud Technologies and Security
- Must have Strong experience in Planning and Process Definitions
- Must have Strong experience in establishing project goals and priorities by collaborating
- with Marketing and Product Teams.
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have knowledge on all three different tiers in software application development.
- Presentation (UI/UX, Frontend), Application (Logical or Backend) and Data Tiers (Database).
- Support Director to hire and develop R&D personnel.
- Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals.
- Document all phases of research and development.
- Manage customer relationships and perform RFP Review, Customer Visits, and Product
- Testing.
- Being a role model for the entire group.
- Proven Agile and Kanban experience
- Ability to manage, track and identify risks, bottlenecks, and challenges ahead of time, and
- oversee technical coordination to resolve them
- Proactive, highly motivated individual with a high work ethic and goal-oriented approach
