Job Description:

CyberArk is seeking a full-time German-qualified Legal Counsel. This person will primarily support our EMEA sales teams (focusing on the DACH region) with commercial transactions, negotiate with leading global enterprises and work independently with senior management, representatives across our Go To Market team and other departments within the organization. This person will also support non-commercial areas of the business and have the opportunity to assist with other projects as needed. This position will report to CyberArk’s Senior Legal Counsel and may require some domestic and international travel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus on the management and negotiation of multi-jurisdictional commercial transactions, including SaaS and software license agreements, channel partner agreements and data privacy/information security schedules
  • Provide legal advice to various departments throughout the organization, such as marketing, human resources, finance and business development
  • Manage and negotiate vendor agreements and support regional procurement processes
  • Provide guidance and support with corporate governance and compliance matters
  • Contribute to the Legal team’s internal initiatives to support CyberArk’s rapid growth, such as automation/efficiency and adoption of new technologies

 

Requirements:

  • German-qualified legal counsel with a right to practice in Germany, the UK or Netherlands (as required depending on applicant’s location)
  • 5+ years of experience practicing commercial/IT law in a global technology company or leading law firm, negotiating SaaS and software license agreements in the DACH region (with familiarity of the UK and other European territories being an advantage)
  • Creative and pragmatic thinker, who can provide excellent service to internal clients, think strategically and quickly establish a “trusted advisor” relationship with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, managing priorities with minimal supervision; a motivated self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player who enjoys working in a dynamic and cross-cultural environment
  • Experience in local and regional employment and corporate laws an advantage
  • Fluency in speaking and drafting in German and English; other European language skills an advantage
